Blissed in Savasana

≈ Savasana – Restorative corpse pose To have an equal balance between body, heart and mind is to live in bliss. The discovery of true relaxation is often found through Savasana; one of the yogis greatest ‘blissed in’ journeys. To overcome the minds resistance to mule, it really is about one thing alone, the awareness of letting go and being open to witness. Clearing away distractions and getting to work with having a time and place for your appointment with peace. Knowing your personal motivation for Savasana practice is important to overcoming your resistance, the secret temple for body and mind rest. Where resistance blocks the very pure and powerful relaxation you wish to come from within you. A tension created by yourself alone; deep feelings of anxiety causing blocks for delivery. If you are feeling tense with mind mule, its time to relax, relax, relax. Allow your body to relax your mind; making it as fluid as water. Harness your energy to the one state. Giving kind words, giving smile, giving appreciation and love to this …

A love affair with exercise

A reminder to me, I’ve been around many exercise environments, there is nothing I wouldn’t do or try. At times I have been in darkness, in defeat and in others in euphoric accomplishment bliss. Commonly the greatest thread of treasure that each experience holds is the blissful heady high of escapism. Removing the tensions, mumbles and muses held within my body and soul from wherever I am in that particular day. Exercise is self love, self respect, a soulful safe heady space. Exercise is a river, my body is the only one that will fight for me, fall for me and love me. It is beautiful yet taken me years to learn this. Not a mirror beautiful world, an ultra ordinary miracle beauty at work. It thanks me for space, for peace and for the tranquility of acknowldgement of calling it in. It is an army of one; a full heart, driving it again, savouring its beat and vibration. At times its felt much like a love affair. For me exercising isn’t a fight, it’s not …

The Wisdom of the Waistline – make it a part of your life

Arms curled around our waist; there is no better place to be in receipt of the acknowledgement of the beautiful feminine. The centre to connection and perception to our external feminine. Taking compassion and warmth to a deep happy foundation and affection for this beautiful space as it is TODAY is the goal of our journey. For some the path of acceptance can be long. Come in time you can pick up its beauty, surrendering to its skin, stories and its special space. It may not even physically change. You may have chosen to put it in the order of dis-ownership, giving it little space for love and total rejection. Its time to revisit the love affair and rekindle a deep friendship. A relationship of thought to showing up for this physical space is where my whole fitness practice lies. Learning an interaction to treasure our pelvis, extending to the wonders of the buxom waist, a magnet of gold. Walking today with acceptance of its wonder. To think of its past, to acknowledge its work. To find …

Using Movement To Heal Worry

Use your freedom of movement to feel something different. Meditate upon ‘Just for today I will not worry’. Worry causes stress and anxiety and impedes energy and bodily regeneration. When worrying you are focusing on the future, with excessive worry leading to impedance of inner wisdom, confusion and stagnentation. You are here for a purpose, you are here to make an impact, honour yourself by following your hopes, happiness and fulfilment for just today. You have countless things to be grateful for, hold the intention of gratitude to be kind to yourself and every living thing. What you vibrate out you will receive back. Negative intentions have negative effects, focus upon kindness and positiveness; with kindness will flow a mirroring positivity into your day. “Asanas of Yoga can ease and alleviate anxiety with at best the easy pose being the most meditative and relaxing”   Anxiety can lead to shallow breathing, rapid breath and thus anxiety elevation. Be gentle with yourself, sit in a quiet warming place, sitting cross legged, kneeled or in a chair. …

Hoorah the joy of the pelvic floor blues

During my thirteen years as a mother I have brandished the beating stick of the pelvic floor to many a poor soul. If only pre natal and post natal I had respected my beautiful nether region as an empath and not demanded so much from my pelvic band. For those that know me they will be all too familiar with my complete utter lust for a topic around the care of the pelvic floor. To this effect each and every one of my practice movements with my circle of women talks of the care and respect, listening and understanding for our pelvic band. So hoorah you hear me cry as I stumbled upon what appears the best app a girl could find post partum or midst pelvic floor quandary or care. Bwom have developed a beautiful interactive mode of guidance and care from a physical therapist specialiszing in Uerogynecology and Obstretic care. Having whizzed around the ap it has left me with a peppering of glee that finally there is a quality resource out there to …

Living in your heart and why I use exercise to own it.

Letting go, learning to know yourself, forming a bond with your current skin, living the now. Feeling love and affection for yourself but not in a selfless or selfish way. These manifestos we chew and observe time after time, day after day. But how do we put them into practice? For me it is surrounding myself with beautiful people, people full of heart, who share in earned passions, in soul, in calm, in affection. Whom eclectically resolutely listen and value companionship, speech and touch of soul.   Individuals whom nurture a conversation, whom share in your smiles who get your vibration. It is relentlessly calm and gentle as you bounce from one another and grew beautiful things. It is one island, not two, it is a special playground. It just isn’t at all hard. It doesn’t need to be all consuming, it needs to be there as part of your daily DNA, this is the day you start to feel your best. You can close your eyes and touch it, you can feel it, it is …

How I coach

What does a physical trainer mean to you? A coach or an instructor?  Having read a terrific article today I gave some deep reflection to what my training service means to me. A coach is a well honed practicing soul, ever evolving and developing passion for their adventure. Having brimming purity of zeal to share, spreading their gems to in an ever organic growth platform. An individual whom is continually striving to enhance, grew and acknowledge the gifts they can give to others. Blending their learning, interests and humility to their learners environments. One which is forever evolving, ever adapting, ever enhancing and nurtured with copious self love. Coaching for me is a continuum of learning, from others, from resources, from environments and from myself. It is sharing, it is taking ownership for what is your lifes greatest zeal. It is living in the now scene, not the past, not the future but the beauty of the self, to share, and gift out. My passion in exercise and wellbeing has been homed over years of personal experience. …

Peaceful cooldown stretch sequence

There is something peaceful about stretching after a workout or indeed if you are feeling a little stressy or etchy after a rather harsh day. A gentle flow is important for quietening of the mind and eases us back to a subtle grounded state with our great inner selves, inviting balance and harmony with mind body and spirit perhaps after a big burn out on some other activity. Yoga embraces the education and practice of flow so very well and it is here as a gentle visual reminder I set you a series of poses that can be webbed into a workout cooldown for those that favour a living room cool down after a pavement stomp in the running gear. The key to any stretch sequence is awareness of not only your alignment but with it too the amount of pressure you exert at any given point in time. Be utterly gentle with yourself and watch in amazement as you release the body to go deeper and deeper into your poses with the use of breath. 1) Start …

Journey to Tummy Strong

It starts from the beginning, its a story of commitment but nothing crazy. Its determination, focus and a gentle progression to get where you want with patience. But what cant be emphasised enough is commitment, its not maximal effort all the time, its just showing up to apply the rules you are taught. ‘Great stability comes from a really strong pelvis, that is balanced and paired through all muscle groups, here below I outline four key movement paths that kick start this journey that are a staple to the routine of strength & conditioning for this area’ For women whom have been out of exercise for a while or are returning from child birth, it is recommended that any double leg exercise lever on the abdominal region is refrained from until the gentle abdominal single leg lever exercises can be completed with ease. Always ensure before the execution of any exercise that the pelvic belt is drawn in and up and the importance of the gentle breathe on each movement is thought of. Any straining …
