My Yoga Story

Intuitive body – Sushmuma, Pingala and Ida Therapy

Kundalini as Taught by Yogi Bhajan

I found yoga in movement in 2014. Having no flexibility, movement or gymnastics background I was excited to discover what my body could achieve through yoga. The experience of fluidity of the body with breath, leading to an understanding of how to slow down time in your body, mind and nervous system.

I began practicing on my own, building strength and releasing tension from my body from years of one plane movement and anxiety. I started realising that yoga was so much more than just asana; awakening the self healing potentials throughout the whole body, delivering a bountiful beauty that I had never known. A rising of the feminine within.

Through the beautiful tender practice of kundalini yoga, I have learnt to breathe and ease into intuition and blocked spaces. I have learnt to understand what it is to “quieten the mind” and to find yourself lost within a graceful conscious practice of living life with calm.

I believe that conscious breath, alignment and technique are an integral part of any fitness practice, and that at all times, I should be at ease. A Kundalini Yoga practice  allows you to break open your heart. Healing in this sense is an ongoing natural maintainance of the body/minds ability to heal itself.

2018 will see my classes and practice of Kundalini (Teachings of Yogi Bhajan) blossom much like a beautiful garden. Workshops dedicated to opening the self and awareness. Sharing techniques from my teachings to free your body from mind body tension – to uncover the infinite possibility of movement without limitation to embody the feminine.

As yoga teachers we do not diagnose, but we encourage the natural healing processes by the use of Kriyas and meditations. Healing in this sense is an ongoing natural maintenance of the body minds ability to heal itself. Kundalini yoga is a source to elevate awareness and maintain the flow of energy in the mind and body, which will enliven any healing approach, and aid individuals to care for themselves with a positive lifestyle.

A healing circle is to keep the Prana flowing
