Mid Life Relationship

Georgina, is the founder of A fat lot of good. She lives with her three children. Each week, she writes about the sense—and nonsense—of life. Many experts approach relationship challenges from the “deficiency model.” In this model, they identify what isn’t working, and work to fix those problems. On this statement I feel perplexed at the entire pressure around relationships and that perhaps we should look to the eye of the storm before its causal breakdown. A relationship is one where both people feel and have respect for themselves and with this have a deep bond between each other. In doing this it radiates and a natural stronger bond will flow. For me this starts with honouring my own body, creating a solid foundation and relationship with myself, from inside to out. Trusting and understanding my worth, my boundaries, my self value; a heart centred self love. This approach is about creating a solid foundation ‘for’ the relationship in me. One where both people feel a personal strength allowing a deep bond between each other. In doing this, there is …

Healing

Georgina, is the founder of A fat lot of good. She lives with her three children. Each week, she writes about the sense—and nonsense—of life. ‘Never hate the wrong man. Thank him, because if it weren’t for him, we wouldn’t have realized it was time for a change. He highlighted what we needed to fix inside ourselves. Because of him, we realized that we are only responsible for our own issues and happiness. Through him, we learned that it’s okay to be a little selfish. We must thank the wrong man, because thanks to him we will be ready to meet the right one.’ -Elyane Youssef. Sometimes it just happens naturally, other times it is forced yet I have spent the last month if not years decluttering; moving from one space to another both emotionally and physically. Secretly I weep for my boys growing up as men in a world that is rapidly loosing its embodied male identity. I feel a fiery role within to gift and create a profound experience to these three young men to create depth, …

The beauty of connectedness

Via Daily Prompts: Refresh & Clean Georgina, is the founder of A fat lot of good. She lives with her three children. Each week, she writes about the sense—and nonsense—of life. Dear you, It starts simply with you. Protect your sensitivity dear one, refrain from confiding your deepest and purest feelings to those that won’t cherish them dear. Your relationship with yourself sets the tone for every other relationship you have. Stop engaging in destructive dances, be healthy and assertive and find your emotional freedom. Help others excel within your being for it is those whom are grateful for all the loving and kindness you have in your life and to be grateful for. Have a relationship with vulnerability not one based upon contracts of kisses and possessions. Walk with grace, accept a defeat, build your plans on today alone, for there is gratitude in every day and breath. Thrive, water and grew. Don’t listen to the patter and path of future stories invented by the inner voice. Park sources of exhaustion, look for your own emotional freedoms and …

The rhythm of feminine

Dear you, Listen, cherish the warmth and depth of the knowledge and understanding of grace and poise. Feeling its open page of power, beauty of instinct, vibration and flow. Each step learning the beauty of what it is to be a woman to tenderly join and speak the language of body, mind and skin. It starts with love, within your house. Grace is lightening, an energy that flows so deep, not to leave by the wayside. Not to fight or vaporise; built to last right to the deep depths of the night. A calling to treasure the utterly breathtaking depth and scope of beauty as a woman we hold. Carrying the tenderness, appreciation and poise to represent our being so delicately with wonderful self love; not being afraid to keep it together. The feminine has the most amazing capacity to open to, and give love. Use it. It is a gift to everybody. Staying awake with you, not a ‘just be’. Robust emotional vocabulary, bridging the gap of consistent positive word choice and talk. A beauty and …

Be A Magnet

A patrol of the self to hold the hand of understanding that today is enough. Be brave, be centred and observe that the very best bits are when you show up for you in you; in understanding and compassion. Let us be thankful for the problems we don’t have. Happiness emanates from a deep understanding of nurture for the self. Integrity, self discipline and contemplation. Bodily respect, mastery of the mind and emotions with energetic awareness, internal awareness and detachment from habit and craving. In observance of self stillness in aspiration for peaceable joy, fulfilment and freedom. Forethought is put into contentment of living day by day, non conformity to overwhelming pressure in a life that is boundaried in knowledge of showing up peaceably for the ever learning self. Become the light, the magnet and set your identity of being really connected with the beautiful feminine self. Nurture the goodness you hold within and that you already have enough. Be here now, practice self love, tap into your strength, expose your ego and flock to your …
